playdesk for snooker clubs

Built around the snooker table, not the appointment

A snooker table doesn't get booked for a tidy hour. Two players start at 7:10, play five frames, stop for a drink and finish at 9:25. playdesk starts a timer when the table goes live and bills the exact minutes at that table's rate. If evenings cost more than afternoons, a session that runs across the changeover is charged at each rate for the right part.

The bar is on the same screen. A pint or a bag of crisps rung up for table 3 goes on table 3's bill, so the players get one total when they come to pay. Regulars who settle up at the end of the month can run a credit balance, and you can see who owes what without digging out the notebook.

If you put in a PS5 corner or a table tennis table later, you won't need a second system. It's another space in the same venue, billed on the same tab as the frames.

FAQ

Questions about playdesk for snooker clubs

How much does playdesk cost for snooker clubs?

$14 a month for each table, with every feature included. A venue with 8 tables pays $112 a month. There's no setup fee and no contract, and in some countries the price is lower.

Can I charge a higher rate for snooker tables in the evening?

Yes. Set peak and off-peak rates by time of day and day of week. If a session starts at 5:30 and your evening rate kicks in at 6, each part is billed at the right price.

Can regulars run a tab and pay later?

Yes. Regulars you trust can settle on credit. playdesk keeps a running balance for each of them and lists every outstanding balance in one report.

What if two players want to pay separately?

Split the bill evenly, by item or by amount. If one of them has to leave early, they can pay their share and go while the table keeps running.

Can I set a minimum charge per table?

Yes. Each table has a minimum in minutes. If it's 30 and someone plays one frame in 12 minutes, they pay for 30. Anything over the minimum is billed for the time actually played.

Does it work as snooker billing software if we don't take bookings?

Yes. Plenty of clubs only use the timers and the till. Start a table for a walk-in, add drinks to it, and take payment when they're done. Bookings are there if you want them later.

Can customers book snooker tables online?

Yes. Customers with an account can book snooker tables themselves, and your front desk adds phone bookings and walk-ins to the same calendar. Everyone sees the same availability, and two people can't take the same slot.

Is session time billed automatically?

Yes. The timer starts with the session and bills the time actually played at that space's rate. Paused time isn't charged, and you can set a minimum charge. Nobody needs a stopwatch.

Does it include a point of sale?

Yes. Food, drinks, retail and add-ons go through the same POS and onto the same bill as the session. Kitchen orders show up in a live queue on the kitchen's screen.

Can I try playdesk before paying?

Yes. You get 14 days free, and you don't need a card to start.
