What's included

Setting up your floor

Tables, courts, lanes, pods, rooms and stations, with kinds like snooker, padel, bowling, gaming PC, VR, karaoke and climbing wall.

Settings for each space

A name, an hourly rate, a minimum charge, a booking slot length, its taxes and notes. Switch a space off without deleting it.

A minimum charge

A 10-minute game on a 30-minute minimum is billed for 30.

Maintenance with a cost

Take a space out of use with a reason. playdesk logs how long it was down and estimates what it could have earned in that time.

Live status

Each space shows as available, occupied, reserved or in maintenance, with its running session and next booking.

Areas for the rest

Name the bar, the counter or the lounge, so food orders can go there when nobody's playing.

A five-step setup

Address, opening hours, taxes, spaces and menu. Fill them in any order and the checklist ticks itself off.

Add a floor at once

Twelve identical PCs? Add them in one go instead of one by one.

A torn cloth

Table 7 is out for three days

Someone tears the cloth on table 7 on Tuesday night. The attendant puts it into maintenance with the reason, and it can't be picked for a walk-in or a booking until it's back.

Two bookings for Wednesday were on table 7. They're cancelled when maintenance starts, so the front desk knows to call those customers.

When the recovering is done on Friday, maintenance ends. The log shows table 7 was down for three days and four hours, and what it could have earned.

FAQ

Spaces questions

Can I create my own space type?

No. You pick from a fixed list, which keeps bookings and reports consistent. If your activity isn't on it, tell us and we'll look at adding it.

Can I mix tables, courts and pods in one venue?

Yes. A snooker hall with a PS5 corner and a table tennis room runs as one venue, with one menu, one till and one set of reports.

Can I draw a floor plan?

No. Spaces show as a live list and board rather than a drawn map of your room.

Can I set a maximum number of players?

Not yet. Capacity per space is on the roadmap.

Are customers told when maintenance cancels their booking?

Not yet. The booking is cancelled in playdesk and staff can see it, but automatic messages to customers are still being built.
