Bookings that know what's being played right now
Take bookings at the desk, or let customers with an account book their own. Free slots take in your opening hours, your slot rules, other bookings and every table that's already running.
What's included
What the booking side does
Free slots at a glance
Pick a day and see what's open, grouped into morning, afternoon, evening and night. Search one space, or any free space of a kind, like any padel court.
Slot rules per type
Set how often bookings can start and the shortest and longest booking allowed. Snooker might start every 10 minutes and run 60 to 150 minutes.
No double bookings
Every booking is checked for overlaps before it's saved. If two people try for the same slot at the same moment, only one of them gets it.
Walk-ins don't steal booked tables
Staff can't start a walk-in on a space that has a booking due in the next 30 minutes, so the group that booked isn't left waiting.
Check-in starts the timer
Checking a booking in opens the session, adds it to the customer's tab, and keeps the rates they were quoted when they booked.
No-shows marked for you
A booking that's still unclaimed when its slot ends is marked as a no-show. Each customer's booking history shows how often it happens.
Your hours, your window
Opening hours can have more than one period a day, like a lunch closure. Choose how far ahead people can book, from a few days up to a year.
Maintenance clears the diary
Put a court into maintenance and the confirmed bookings it would clash with are cancelled, so nobody turns up to a space you can't use.
A Friday evening
Table 4 is booked for 8pm. A walk-in asks for it at 7:40
The front desk tries to start table 4 and playdesk says no: there's a booking in 20 minutes. They give the walk-in table 6 instead.
At 8:05 the group that booked arrives. Check-in starts their timer at the rate they were quoted last week, even though you've since raised the evening price.
The 9pm booking on table 2 never turns up. Once the slot ends, it's marked as a no-show and sits on that customer's history for next time they call.

FAQ
Bookings questions
Can customers book online?
Customers with a playdesk account can book and cancel their own bookings at your venue, and they only ever see their own. There's no public booking page you can link to from Instagram yet. That's on our roadmap.
Do customers get a confirmation or a reminder?
Not yet. Booking confirmations, reminders and cancellation messages by WhatsApp and email are being built now.
Can I take a deposit when someone books?
Not yet. Payment is taken for the time actually played, when the session is billed. Deposits come after we add card payments through a provider.
Can I move a booking to another time?
Not in one step yet. Cancel it and book the new slot. Rescheduling is one of the next things we're building.
What if they play longer than they booked?
They're billed for the time they actually played, at the rates they were quoted. Another booking right after them will be visible on the floor, so staff can see the clash coming.
Can I block out public holidays?
Not yet. Opening hours are set week by week. Closed dates and special hours for holidays are on the roadmap.
